Your Data Rights

Your rights over the personal information we hold, and exactly how to use them — under the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013.

Last updated: 15 August 2026

Anchored Solutions is the responsible party for the personal information it processes, as defined in the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA). This page explains, in plain language, what rights you have over your information and exactly how to use them. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains what we collect and why.

1. Your rights under POPIA

RightWhat it meansHow to use it
AccessAsk what personal information we hold about you, and where we got itEmail our Information Officer

DeletionHave information deleted or destroyed where we no longer have a lawful reason to keep itEmail us, or use Regulator Form 2

Withdraw consentWithdraw consent you previously gave, at any timeEmail us — no form needed
ComplainLodge a complaint with the Information Regulator if you are not satisfiedRegulator Form 5

Withdrawing consent does not make any processing we did before the withdrawal unlawful, and we may still need to keep certain records where the law requires it.

2. How to make a request

Send your request to our Information Officer. Please tell us:

  • Your full name and the email address or phone number you dealt with us on
  • Which right you are exercising (access, correction, deletion, objection, withdrawal of consent)
  • Enough detail for us to find the information — for example the date of your enquiry
  • Proof of identity, so we do not release your information to the wrong person

3. What happens next

  • We acknowledge your request within 5 business days.
  • We respond substantively within 30 days. If we need longer, we will tell you why and give you a new date.
  • Requests are handled free of charge, except where a formal PAIA request attracts the prescribed fee — see our PAIA Manual.
  • If we cannot do what you asked, we will tell you the reason and how to take it further.

4. Official Information Regulator forms

You may use the Regulator's prescribed forms. They are not compulsory for a request to us — a plain email is fine — but they are the correct route for a formal complaint.

  • Form 1 — Objection to the processing of personal information
  • Form 2 — Request for correction or deletion of personal information
  • Form 5 — Complaint regarding interference with the protection of personal information

5. Complaints to the Information Regulator

If you are unhappy with how we handled your request, you may complain directly to the Regulator:

This website sets no advertising or tracking cookies. It uses no third-party analytics, no third-party fonts and no social media tracking pixels. Nothing on this site profiles you or follows you across the web.

The only personal information we collect through the site is what you type into the enquiry form and submit voluntarily, with your consent. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (which may include your IP address) for security and reliability.

7. Security compromises

If personal information in our care is accessed or acquired by an unauthorised person, POPIA requires us to notify the Information Regulator and the affected people as soon as reasonably possible. We will tell you what happened, what information was involved and what you can do to protect yourself.

8. Where your information is held

Enquiries submitted through this website are processed by our website host, whose servers may be located outside South Africa. Where personal information is transferred across borders, we take steps to ensure it receives an adequate level of protection as required by section 72 of POPIA.
